Our Curriculum is Inclusive
At OSC, our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and representative of our diverse student body. We regularly review our curriculum through the lenses of Windows, Mirrors, and Sliding Doors, asking critical questions about whose stories are being told and whose are missing. We aim to provide opportunities for all students to see themselves reflected in the curriculum while also learning about different perspectives. This involves identifying gaps where multiple perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds are absent, and advocating for their fair representation. We challenge existing power dynamics by incorporating diverse resources and ensuring our curriculum is inclusive. Our ultimate goal is to create a learning environment where every student feels valued and celebrated for who they are.
