Charity Chic

A fashion show organized by the "Hope for Kids" service group in aid of the Maharagama Cancer Hospital children's ward.  Event will be at the OSC auditorium on February 11, 2012 (Saturday) at 6:00 PM.  Ticket prices Rs. 2500, Rs. 1500 and Rs. 1000.  Tickets can be purchased at the OSC business office or call 0777891200

Independence Day of Sri Lanka

An assembly will be held at the OSC Sports Complex to celebrate the Independence day of Sri Lanka.  Assembly starts at 7:30 AM on February 8, 2012 (Wednesday).

Week Without Walls

The secondary school students will be traveling (January 23-27) to various parts of Sri Lanka to learn more about the environment they live in.  These experiences will make the students learn more about themselves as well as appreciate what Sri Lanka has to offer.

SAISA Tournament News

OSC Gecko teams participated in two different SAISA international tournaments. The Girls’ Basketball took the championship trophy in Mumbai.  The coaches report that it was an excellent tournament and our Girl Geckos played extremely well as a highly functioning team. The boys also returned from the SAISA Football tournament in Dhaka. They played well and came in 4th. They demonstrated great teamwork and fair play throughout. Good job girls and boys!

A big thank you to the coaches; Mr. Shipley, Mr. Mueller, Mr. Gomez, and Mr. Snyder and the parent volunteers that also joined the teams!

SAISA Soccer & Basketball

OSC boys will be participating in SAISA Soccer held at the American International School of Dhaka (Bangladesh), and the girls will be competing in the SAISA basketball tournament held at the American School of Bombay (India).  We wish our teams all the best!

Hope for Kids

The service activity, Hope for Kids, focuses on supporting children suffering from cancer at the Cancer Hospital in Maharagama. To this end, they are planning a fashion show where students from international schools across Colombo can showcase their ‘fashionista’ talents. The final show will take place in February, but student submissions of designs begin next week. Keep your eye out for more information!
