The Overseas School of Colombo takes the view that there is nothing more important for the success of a school than employing the right teachers. We have a diverse faculty mainly coming from Australia, Canada, Sri Lanka, UK and USA. As an authentic international school we have absolutely no preference for any one nationality, we follow no national programs and we believe our faculty should reflect our student body in terms of international diversity. Our school motto is ‘Unity in Diversity’. OSC is a not for profit school.
Our curriculum is IB throughout and our high school is college preparatory. We are fully accredited by CIS (Council of International Schools, UK), MSA (Middle State Association of Colleges and Schools) and IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization). We are members of SAISA (South Asia Inter-School Association) and NESA (Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools). We also receive some funding from the Office of Overseas Schools in USA. Furthermore, the school allocates two percent of its operational budget towards professional development of its academic staff. It is our goal to remain a small community style school.
