Based directly
upon the Pre-school foundation, the Primary School’s
curriculum is drawn from the Primary Years Programme of the
IBO.
The core subjects of Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Social
Science are complemented by Music, Art, Information Technology,
Library Skills, Physical Education and Swimming. Kindergarten
to Grade 1 students have a school day from 7:30 am to 1:30
pm while Grades 2 to 5 continue until 2:40pm.
Central to our Mission Statement, the Primary Years Programme
aims to develop the “whole person” where students
are allowed to explore concepts, acquire skills, develop positive
attitudes and demonstrate understanding through “action”.
It is through the “actions” of our children that
we witness that authentic understanding has taken place. |
