Security is a priority at the school, and the safety of students and personnel is regarded carefully at all times

All students and families are issued with identity cards that need to be brought to school every day, as access to the school campus is restricted. The school works with a local security firm to provide guards for the school, and we maintain close links with the security office of the US Embassy for consultation purposes. Families are welcome to use the campus at weekends between 09.00-17.00.

Call-out system

Should a civil disturbance or any other emergency occur, OSC’s telephone call-out system will inform parents if the school is closed and there will also be details of arrangements on this website. Should an emergency situation occur during school hours, students will be kept on campus and supervised until parents can collect them.

Emergency procedures

The school maintains appropriate emergency procedures to ensure speedy evacuation of the premises in the event of a fire or other emergency. Regular practice drills are held during the school year to ensure all students are familiar with the procedures.

School intercom system

The school has a sophisticated intercom system: there are speakers in every room and corridor allowing communication from the Head of School and Head of Security if there is an emergency that requires special measures.
